Support Elder Abuse Awareness Day – June 13th*, 2014

Support “Elder Abuse Awareness Day”

The Montgomery County Commissioners have designated June 15th as “Elder Abuse Awareness Day” to draw attention to the neglect and exploitation of older and vulnerable adults.  (*Activities will be held on June 13th). Last year in Montgomery County, there were 1,509 reports of elder abuse, including  643 suspected reports of self neglect.

To report suspected elder abuse for individuals over the age of 60, contract Montgomery County Adult Protective Services at 225-4906, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
